Community Representative for Painted Circle in Nepal

Bhim works with Painted Circle to help connect travelers, local travel businesses, and community projects across Nepal. He is committed to building a future for tourism that supports communities, protects heritage, and strengthens the connection between travelers and the people who welcome them.

About Bhim

Bhim is the founder of the Khaptad Badimalika Global Development Institute. He works closely with the Government of Nepal, local municipalities, NGOs, and international partners on tourism, development, and community-focused programs. His work centers on sustainable development, community empowerment, and the responsible growth of Nepal’s tourism sector.

He has long been active in promoting eco-friendly, cultural, and community-based tourism. Bhim believes that travel should uplift local livelihoods, protect nature and culture, and bring real value to the people who make travel possible. His experience and relationships make him a trusted voice in Nepal’s responsible tourism space.

Our Collaboration in Nepal

Painted Circle is working with Bhim to grow a pilot program focused on responsible and community-minded travel in Nepal. Together we are supporting local travel businesses, helping travelers discover meaningful experiences, and creating space for community voices to be more visible.

This collaboration highlights the best of Nepal’s culture, landscapes, and local traditions. It also supports a more ethical approach to tourism where travelers connect directly with the people who create their experiences. Bhim serves as the Community Representative for Nepal, helping Painted Circle work with tourism operators, community leaders, and organizations that share this vision.

Why Painted Circle?

Painted Circle helps travelers discover meaningful travel experiences and connect directly with local businesses. Travelers can join for free. Those who wish to support the project can choose a Supporter Membership that includes added benefits and helps sustain our work.

We do not take commissions and we do not resell tours. All bookings are made directly with the provider. This keeps more value in local communities and reduces extraction from outside intermediaries.

Painted Circle exists to:

  • Help travelers find authentic, community-focused experiences

  • Keep local businesses visible and connected to travelers

  • Reduce leakage from the tourism economy

  • Make responsible and ethical travel easier and more accessible
