About us...
Starting in 2009 with Old Delhi Cycle Tours, DBC became the first city cycle tour team in India. Hosted more than 50,000 plus people in 13 years!
We are a small team of passionate explorers! Every single person in our team loves what we do, and that makes all the difference. On our daily tours, we invite you to become a part of the unique mix of colours, smells, sounds, tastes and unforgettable images. Take the tour and experience the city of Delhi with all your senses. We have spent many hours cycling around to see and feel what are the best places for you. Have a great tour! We have policies in place to manage our sustainability and environmental impact.
Nature preservation-
We are riding bicycles and showing the most important structures/streets and doing briefings and providing information about nearby areas at the same time, we are inspiring them and local people to use bicycles for visiting places in the city.
Carbon offsetting and climate change mitigation-
Through our work, we are the organization with 0% CO2 emission and release of greenhouse gases.
In India, especially New Delhi, the majority of carbon emission is due to private Cars/ Motorbikes and to reduce the harmful effects on the Ozone layer, it is important to opt for bicycles every day. With this vision, we are doing our tours every day.
Culture preservation-
Our tours are mainly focused on the heritage, society, and history of almost all the places in Delhi. While touring we have different briefing points where the group stops and the guide informs them about the history and story related to the specific structure or area.
SOCIAL IMPACT
We take steps to have a positive impact on our community.
Starting from our team, we have employed most of the local people of Delhi and a few who are from an NGO (Salam Balak). In between the tour, we stop for Tea the tea shop is a street shop but they maintain hygiene. Our breakfast point is also local and yet famous.
Local employment-
During the tour have a tea break every day with a local tea seller. Having breakfast at a local restaurant and customers buying stuff from local people.
Human rights protection-
We take care of every employee's personal interest, the people who are on our tours, and the locals on the streets. As such we never faced difficult issues to date.
